Registrant ownership
The customer is intended to remain the legal registrant of domains purchased for the customer. Accurate registrant contact information is required and must be kept current.
Registrar and registry rules
Domain registrations are performed through third-party registrar and registry infrastructure and remain subject to applicable registration agreements, registry policies and ICANN policies. Availability is not guaranteed until registration is confirmed.
Renewals and expiration
Customers are responsible for keeping contact and payment information current. Auto-renew preference does not guarantee renewal if payment fails, the domain becomes ineligible or the registrar/registry rejects the transaction.
Transfers
Transfers may require an authorization code, unlocked status, accurate contact information and compliance with transfer restrictions. Processing times depend on registrar and registry systems.
DNS changes
DNS and nameserver changes can interrupt websites and email. Customers should review records carefully before requesting execution.
UAT records
Records clearly labeled TEST BILLING UAT are simulations only and are permanently blocked from production registrar execution.
Registrant rights and responsibilities are also described by ICANN. See ICANN registrant information.
